POLYMER ABRASIVE MEDIUMS FOR
FINISHING OF METAL ARTICLES SURFASES
On being available data the labour consuming of finishing and cleansing reaches 10-20 % from general labour consuming of details manufacturing, and the part of manual labour in these operations reaches 70-80%.
The applications of abrasive mediums allow to reduce the part of low qualification manual labour on these operations and floor areas need.

Abrasive pastes are intended for deburring, rounding of sharp edges and finishing mainly of articles internal surfaces with use of extrusion honing technology. In so doing the paste under pressure is passed through and along of surfaces of treated detail.
The modern pastes represent by abrasive powder filled composites on basis of alloys of polydimethilborsiloxan with oil gel. These materials refer to a low molecular high-polymers class: being in essence oligomers, they in rheological relation exhibit properties, characteristic for high molecular weight elastomers with very narrow molecular-mass distribution
The influence of composition factors on pastes rheological properties and technical characteristics of extrusion honing is investigated. The schemes of synthesis of polydimethilborsiloxan and compositions of abrasive pastes on this basis permitting to adjust ratio between metal-removal from edges and longitudinal surfaces of treated details are developed.

Micrograins are intended for use in technology of ink and shock-abrasive treatment. They represent granules of non-regular form order 1 mm size, received by granulation of sheets from impact-strength plastics filled by a powder of degree of dispersion and abrasion, necessary for technology. The thermoplastic resins of polycarbonate or polysulfone class and high-impact thermosetting resins (for example, the high molecular weight epoxy) in quality of binders can be used.
The technology of micrograins mediums on basis of epoxy resins manufacturing, consisting in granulating in high-elastic state, is developed.
Grinding elements represent bodies of the various regular forms (cone, pyramid, prism) from a compounds of thermosetting binder with abrasive filler. They are intended for rounding edges and grinding of external surfaces of details mainly from non-ferrous metals with use technology of rotational, vibration and centrifugal treatment.
Manufacture of elements as cones and pyramids by a size from 7 up to 40 mm is mastered.
